Announcing the Learning Content Solution for Digital Marketer Apprenticeship

0

We have followed the development and the launch of the new “Digital Marketer” apprenticeship standard. It is fantastic to see that the UK apprenticeship system supports a career path that offers individuals excellent opportunities and provides employers with practitioners armed with crucial skills to drive competitiveness—well done!

We have recently been approached by several training providers who “would like our apprentices to receive the Digital Marketing Institute Industry Certification and how would it fit in with the new “Digital Marketer” apprenticeship standard?”

We looked at how we could support apprenticeships in the best possible way and offer a solution that is fit for purpose and best in class to training providers, employers, and apprentices.

Background

Since 2009, The Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) has created and maintained the industry’s most widely taught professional certification standards for digital marketing. This includes learners, trainers, and the industry.

Over 18,000 people have been certified to a single standard in more than 100 countries. Our partners, including colleges, universities, businesses, and training providers, offer our professional certification program in over 90 countries. We are truly global, and our program is recognized as the most dominant by professionals and industries in over 90 countries.

Our Focus on Industry & Employability

Our Industry Advisory Council comprises representatives from Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google, as well as Microsoft, IBM, Ogilvy, and Vodafone. They provide input on our syllabus, content, and testing to ensure that our graduates have the necessary knowledge and skills to secure a new job, advance within their current position, or move on to their next career.

The Digital Marketing Institute certifies learners (apprentices) who have completed our training and passed our Pearson VUE exam as Certified Digital Marketing Professionals.

For us, it’s about results and employability. This fits perfectly with the spirit and objectives of the Apprenticeship System!

We work closely with employers, and our experience at the coalface helps us develop our certification programs. IBM, for example, has global partnerships, and we have helped them upskill 2,000 employees globally.

Map to the Digital Marketer Apprenticeship Standard

Our product team performed a mapping exercise to compare the learning outcomes from our certification program with our vast library of learning material and our testing criteria. The ‘Digital Marketer Apprenticeship’ has two and three almost 90% compatible modules.

We can now offer to train providers a learning solution that meets the minimum requirements for apprenticeships and the knowledge standards. The apprentice will also be able to earn our industry-leading certification.

We should have applied to the Tech Partnership for an exemption from the standard. However, we will revisit this issue at the following review later this year, as we know this reduces the in-program assessment requirements. But we provide significant value to the training provider and the apprentice to compensate for this.

Our Learning Content

Our online learning library is designed for both employers and training providers.

There are over 30 hours of HD videos related to the professional certification. We also have slide decks that trainers can use in any activities, such as practical exercises, case studies, quizzes at the end of modules, etc.

It is a flexible, online solution with a cost-effective and efficient trainer. The content provides the apprentices with the knowledge and skills they need to be qualified as digital marketing professionals and succeed in their jobs. All the content is in one place, ready for deployment.
